Dujardin breaks grand prix special world record
Olympic selection shouldn’t be a problem for Charlotte Dujardin after a world record breaking performance on the final day of the international grand prix dressage ‘Horses And Dreams Meets Great Britain’ CDI in Hagen, Germany.
Riding the incredible 10 year old Valegro, Charlotte, sporting her Charles Owen AYR8 Leather Look riding hat, broke the world record for the grand prix special scoring an incredible 88.02% percent, holding more than 8% of second place Anna Kasprzak.
“I’m so grateful for the opportunity to ride such a fantastic horse; I’m one of the luckiest girls in the world.”
Most dressage riders would call that perfection but Charlotte believes there’s more to come from the impressive and imposing dark bay gelding adding: “He has power beyond belief; you press and he gives you more and more. I’m still holding him back a bit”.
